I would expect that most people who change their clusters over would have encountered the issue of the total km's differing on the new cluster to the original. Can the new cluster be adjusted to match the original km's or how does everyone deal with that?

You make a note of what the kms were when you removed the old cluster, what the kms were on the new cluster when it was installed, and forget about it.

i believe you can get a dealer to make a printout thingo... stating that they sighted the old and new speedos. so then you can prove to the potential buyer once you decide to sell the car that it has actually been replaced... not just saying that it was

cant u just spin the dials to match your old one?
i did this in my TS when i changed out a faulty cluster.
not sure if i did the right thing? but it worked and looked normal...

I would have put it on 999 990 km, and then show ya mates - look, cars nearly done 1million km, tough cars!

My first car (EA Falcon) had done 1.3 million kays. The Odometer had gone right around and started again!

Almost as much as my statesman, when i picked it up it was something like 500,000K's I asked my dad about it (16kms didn't sound right to me) and he said when he had the car it ticked back over.

what happens to cars with a digital km readout when it reaches 1,000,000? does it keep going or does it re-set to 0? lol. always wondered about that.

Still getting conflicting reports on whether the odometer can be manually adjusted successfully. Anyone clarify??

If it can be altered properly, what is stopping someone from doing a dodgy and winding back the k's??
