As you all know mine is cactus and with the repair bill Quote comming in at $1950 to get it all fixed...

I am looking for Alternatives..

Is easy really, you need to undo the boot release cable from the lock and feed it back, under the RHS you unplug the boot lid loom, undo 4 bolts and off it all comes

Getting a boot lid for a TE-H (all the same) should be easy, getting a white one will restrict you a little but should be plenty about, getting one that matches the tone and fade of your paint work will be a little more trying.

should be 2 black rubber plugs on the inside of the boot where the spoiler meets it on the top. take these out and the screws are under them. the top 2 are nuts you can undo with a shifter spanner pretty easy. once all screws and nuts are off just pull up on it and the foam double sided sticy gaskets will tear and it comes away. if you got a brake light in it remember to unplug it first lol the cable will come out through another hole in the boot. any probs pm me. good luck!

Spoiler removed...

There were for screw holes on the Outer edge of the boot.. right over the drainage channel.. Wiring for the brake light also there on the drivers side..

One bolt hidden in the middle.. but due to me hitting mine fair in the middle the bolt had pulled through the boot skin anyway..
(Probably why I had wet patch in the middle of the boot..)

So What is the next step in Filling in the holes until I get a new Boot lid ??

Some have used rubber grommets in the boot lid holes, possibly sealed with a dob of silastic for extra seal and "sticking" power. Can touch-up with body-coloured paint if you really want - foks with undamaged de-spoilered boots have looked surprisingly good by this method.

Proper way is to weld patches, fill and sand, colour match etc.

Try to find a good garage or auto elec etc who might stock a range of "blind" grommets - no hole in them.

Whilst we're talking about spoilers does anyone know if the Sports/VR-X/Ralliart spoilers have the same mounting pattern?
Ie. Can They be swapped without drilling/filling new mounting holes?

The VRX spoiler has four outer mounting points, and they match the Ralliart wing exactly. The Ralliart also has a fifth central mounting point.
