G'day everyone,
I just bought a 97 magna executive v6 24v. production date in dec / 97. My main question is what sort of model is it? I keep reading about TE, TH, and the like. I saw a TK printed on the vin plate. Is this my model, so to speak? I have tried searching but I really cant find aay exact answers. Thank you for your help in advance.

He means are there any badges on the back of your car? Or have they been removed?
It should say on the VIN what model it is, but im almost certain its a TF! Mine was made in like july of 97 and mines a TF...
Have you got any pics?
EDIT: Does your magna have a speed alarm?

Dremen,
The "T/K" on the engine bay plate is a generic kind of thing, that same plate is used on both Magna models (the T) and Verada models (the K). Its common to see folks selling "TK" Magna's - clearly they are not the fanatics from AMC! (There is no TK model). The VIN number reveals which model you have.
Have a look at your actual VIN number........ it'll be 6 (=Australian build) then MM (Mitsi) then TE or TF or TH etc.
If you have a glovebox manual, it explains the VIN numbering scheme a bit more, or you could search for the Workshop Manual thread (has links so you can download the Genuine Mitsubishi Workshop Manuals as used by the dealers), as the "decoder" for VIN numbers is also in those manuals.
