i reckon if you use a gerni, you will stuff the carpet. I took the carpet out of mine and used some carpet cleaning stuff that the ex had for the carpet inside the house. Sprayed it all on, waited for it to dry, vacuumed it off.
Came up a treat.

its pretty diry, came from a wreckers... thats why gerni came up... so like a good vacuum first, then just use a good carpet cleaner?
are there any places that hire out steam cleaners? coz i've been wanting to steam mine but dont wanna buy a steamer just for 1 use

i was thinking that too... it was either that, take it somewhere for them, or do it myself... and im pretty cheap atm... you could try karcher, they do that sorta thing, but are pretty expensive... and bigger than you probably need... http://www.karcher.com.au/aus/Products/Commerce_and_Industry/Steam_cleanersSprayextraction_cleaners/Steam_cleaners/10922800.htm

Owen, you can borrow my steam cleaner if you want, but its only a little $40 one.
I would give it a wash with the pressure cleaner (from a few metres back) so you dont stuff the carpet then maybe give it a go over with the steam cleaner

If it was me i'd probly just give it a scrub with hot water and detergent then hose it out well, let it dry, then give it a good vacuum.

I've cleaned a few carpets in cars now, the way i do it is, vacuum all the crap off get some carpet cleaning shampoo and use a hot water and a scrubbing brush and then use a pressure washer to wash it off. They all come up a treat
