does anyone know where i can get new ones? how much should they cost? how hard are they to replace? and what sort of damage can this do? the car is running like a complete dog box again and the tapping is so loud i can hear it over my stereo. in a perfect world id take it of the road, drive my lamborghini around and use the copius amounts of cash falling out of my pockets to get it fixed. however it dont quite work like this, so is driving it around for the average 800-1000 km's per week i drive while very broke going to do much long term damage until i can get it fixed?

From my understanding the only thing to worry about is loss of power since the valves will not completely open/close anymore.

normally i would say noisy tappets can go for ages with no harm, but these engines have roller rockers that shouldnt really make noise, go somewhere and get it checked.

If they have just recently become a lot louder, check your oil level/condition, top it up/change it, if need be. The noise should then almost disappear. Definitely get it checked ASAP if it gets any worse.

Although, to be fair, I did 20,000km on stuffed lash adjusters...
