I've got a 96 TE Magna, and it just happened last night that i couldn't open the boot through the front patch panel (The one under the seat)
When i try to pull it, i can hear it clicking, but it wouldn't open the boot. That forced me to turn off the ignition and pull it up all the time, was wondering if anyone of you have any clue what happened.
Bear in mind it just happened out of nowhere

Cable probably snapped? Wait you said clicking, can you hear the latch trying to open?

Ill bet its the boot release lock on the inside of the boot. Check to make sure someone hasnt flicked it up, its on the boot latch itself.
It's either the lock or the cable has snapped. Can pick up a cable from the wrecker.

If you can hear the latch trying to open then the cable musnt be snapped, otherwise nothing would be hapening with the latch.

No. Pull the boot interior carpet away from the petrol tank side and look at the mechanism.
Where in VIC are you? In in Cranbourne, if you're close-ish don't mind coming over and taking a look/giving you a hand.

Same sort of thing happened to me with my Ralliart.
Was working from the button in the glovebox one minute and then the next minute nothing.
Any ideas for my problem or anyone close by in Sydney that can give me a hand ?

And you've checked to make sure the switch on the actual boot latch isn't set to lock?
