Anyway,
my parents own a 95 ts auto, and theyve been having this problem for a while, anyway everytime they start the car up chuck it in D, and put the accelerator down, the car just seems to hang there for a bit like its about to stall, and then after a second or two it goes, this happens every bloody time they drive the thing.
any ideas
Thanks
Shane

I dunno what the problem is but my car used to do it also until i got the new engine, but still once in a while the car will still do it, if anyone knows what causes this please help us out by letting us know what is wrong and how to fix/prevent it

im pretty sure its a problem with the transmission. it could be as simple as low or stuffed fluid, or the torque converter could be worn. all the lag is is the transmission trying to spin enough for the torque converter to engage. kind of like a slipping clutch in a manual.

well he said its like its about to stall, its not revving and going nowhere...
if its a carby engine , dont think there are any carby TS though, it could be cold engine requiring some choke before planting pedal, or maybe flooding carby and needs new jets or float level adjusted.

Yeah I have no idea what it is... The TS does that every now and then, hasnt done it for a while. You put your foot down and the revs drop to like almost nothing, you bring your foot off the accel and the revs go back to normal, its in sync. Its efi as well. I thought maybe something to do with Fuel delivery. Service is comming up soon so i'll get that checked out.

my new 94 KS does this too. there is like a lag when you put your foot down it just does nothing for a second, then off it goes no worries. i'm hoping that cleaning the throttle body and a new fuel filter will fix this as well as my intermittant stalling problem.

My TS used to stall sometimes when I shift it from R to D or D to N or N to R.... I went on to do an efi service, clean the throttle body. still the problem didn't go away. but it was finally solved when I had the timing checked. :D
