I own a S1 TJ Executive and every once in a while my computer starts beeping and flashes on the screen "95:98" or something like that and then the computer seems to reset itself. Its done it ever since i got the car.

Any suggestions on what it could mean?

Mine gets to 19:50 or 19:55 or something then keeps beeping.

I just reset the computer when I fill up, provides more relevant info on fuel usage/distance that way.

There is a limit on the time before it resets the trip computer. The L/W series have a longer timer, 199hrs or something like that. Its no big deal, just means your averages gets reset.

its to do with, how long you have been driving....it gets to the largest number that can be displayed, then resets.

Its 20.00 hours, at 19.55 it will beep, 5 minutes later it will reset to 00.00. Dont really know why it doesnt go to 24 hours or higher lol.

Its pretty stupid, mums commodore just keeps going until.......well forever. I reset mine everytime I work these days so its no big deal but it used to piss me off hard. People would hop in the car after its just reset and say something like "16 litres per hundred kays??? Thats shyt fuel economy" right after a short cold engine trip.
