Grr this is frustrating. The other night i attempted to change the interior globe of my car while the car was running (very stupid i kno). Wel the thing sparked and sizzled and i ended up with:
1. the interior light not working
2. the boot light not working
3. the speed alert (beep thingy) becoming retarded in which it would reset constantly and then wen the speed was passed, the speed light would come on then off, on then off, accompanied by a half arse beep each time.
4. "Open door" does not come on

Fair enough i looked at all my fuses to see what i had blown and i blew the "interior lamp" fuse found under the bonnet. After replacing this fuse correctly i am in serious trouble.
1. the interior light still does not work
2. the speed alert display does not come on at all, but if u push the buttons u can faintly hear the sound of the button push.
3. My headunit and stereo does not come on at all.
4. boot light still not working
5. open door light still not working.

so my question is......what should i do?
ive checked almost all of the other fuses and they are fine and now am contemplating a trip to the auto electrician (which means serious $). :(
can anyone give me some advice asap??

It is a 98 tf magna by the way.

i reckon you've shorted a wire or two somewhere....

seeing as your not overly experienced at this sort of ****, i'd take it to a auto electrician and see what he says!

Yeah sounds like somethin has burnt out or shorted somewhere in the line, Auto electrican would be my best bet, but i supose now you will of learnt, dont worry it can happen to the best of us.

Thankyou for the advice guys but luck it seems finally turned my way. Looked at the fuse box yet again to double check and voila! one of the switches was not in properly so yep everything works a treat now which is a MASSIVE relief.

Just goes to prove to triple check everything, and luck can sometimes be on ur side :D.
