As the title says, will 18x8.0" rims fit on a Sigma/Magna with offset 40, without any modifications?

Its a pair of IA Mesh 2 18x8, 225/35R18 Hankook, i need to know for 100% if they fit, i dont have any lowering suspension at the moment, just the ESC in sportsmode

im looking into new rims and stuff and the guy said on my 3rd gen i can only fit say 18x7.5 as 8.0 will be beyond the guards.

Rubbish, i always put 19x8's on my 3rd gens and never had a problem..................and i have had more than a few 3rd gens !!

a) this thread is about second gens
b) 18x8 +50s have been successfully fitted to second gens - with tyres like that i'd hazard a guess that +40 is fine too
c) presti, that's bull, it all depends on the offset. Check the thread for my car in the members rides section - 19x8.5 +42 isn't beyond the guards. Your "guy" doesn't understand offset

"The guy" sounds like hes guessing. But 2nd gens may not be able to go to 8.0 inch. I had 7.5 inch on my TR and with an offset of +35 they sat outside the gaurds a little bit on the front.

I have had 17 x 8 on my TS for a bit over 12 months and no issues what so ever. Picture links to a 4 image slideshow of the front wheels which track marginally wider than the rears.

BAM BAM the question isnt whether 18's fit, its whether the width and offset combo fit.

I have 8.0" with +35 on my 93 Verada. IF you want pics check my members ride thread the front 1/4's are flush and i run Low kings aswell. No scrubbing with 235/40 Silverstones. The rears are safely inside the gaurd by nearly 10mm.

I wouldnt go 8.0" wide with anything less then +35 as you will need gaurdwork but there are plenty of +28 and +32 sets around that would only need a little bit of rolling up front to fit comfortably.
