Hey guy's,i need to know if it's safe to run an ignition cut rev limiter on a car using injected LPG.

thanks

Better off asking an LPG installer as you won't want the injection system putting LPG in whilst the rev limiter is operating. Cars with TCL usually have the TCL disconnected whilst running on gas as it's possible to have a crankcase explosion due to a buildup of unburnt LPG. I've actually seen a rocker cover on an EA falcon shattered as a result of a crankcase explosion and the sump seperated from the rear of the engine by about 3cm.

depends if you have venturi/vapour or injected sytems

injected systems would be no more dangerous than petrol engines with an igniton cut limter (ie: Bee*R) one would think. I can see the venturi/carb vapour systems being a problem, much like people who used to turbo them as draw throughs...freaking dangerous.

thanks lynel, yer i was thinking the Bee R for a bit of fun and for tailgaters

and yes it's injected lpg.

it will be fine, the injected system works with the engine ecu... and VSi only injects a little bit of gas into the manifold at a time, which would me sent into the cylinder and out the exhaust, then the o2 reads rich and the mixture is trimmed back

why you wanna rev limiter for anyways.... ecu rev limit too high?

type in bee-r limiter on youtube, you'll see why i want it for tailgaters and why it might be dangerous with lpg lol

well its an exhaust backfire and whether its gas or fuel vapor its still gonna go bang with the potential to blow your exhaust to bits and damage your cat, but your intake manifold will be safe as i said before only a little bit of gas is injected
