I have been thinking about trying to get an LSD to fit in the 380 for a while now & was thinking I might try to pick up a box from the wreckers to play with.

I asked my dealer today if they would rebuild them in house or send them out for repairs etc & they said on a 380 they would just change the whole transaxle for a new one & wouldn't let one of their mechanics near one.

They recommended Neville's Automatic Transmissions in Bankstown which is where they send any transmissions they need fixed.

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with these guys & more importantly does anyone know of a wrecker that has an automatic 5 speed transaxle floating around from a 380?

The 380 is too new to be able to just buy a box from the wreckers, but feel free to phone around your local wreckers. Be prepared to pay a great deal of money though, if you can find one

If you want to get a LSD for the 380, check out performance parts for the American version of the 380. Import one and get your transaxle rebuilt with it.

Have already looked into that, the US Galant & GT 5 Speed Eclipse run the same box & they don't actually do a Quaife for the auto. It is essentially the same case as the Magna 5 speed auto & apparantly the manual diff will go with a bit of tranny case grinding. Just thought it would be easier if I could find a 2nd hand one & do the fit & mods & when sorted put it in.
