Depending on how bad it is, use some touch up paint. I have used touch up paint on my door handles and on little chips in the car and not one chip is visible on my car now. It cost me just over $10 I think and it came in a liquid paper type bottle geniune from Mitsubishi.

Hey dude, is it just the clear coat of the paint? Mine has started to peel off on the bonnet, i wanna get it fixed but dont really wanna spend to much?
jono, hate to say it but that looks like rust coming through the paint from underneath......

No its not rust, it is the clear coat... this mostly is caused by bird crap being left on your car for so long, and it turns acidic and eats ya paint... well so i've been told, but also ive been told that its caused by washing your car and not chamoisin it after, the sun dries the water and causes the paint to fade

Well i thought it wasnt rust, doesnt look like it   I Havnt really looked under the bonnet to see whats is where the spots are? But it really just looks like the clear coat peeling off, i was told maybe due to birdcrap etc. sitting on the paintwork for too long and not been removed?
It ain't rust. You'll actually see it on quite a few cars, and it's bird crap, tar and tree sap that are the prime suspects. Unlike the TM-TP, these only rust in one place, near the tail lights

Yeah i have seen it really bad on some other magnas, the whole roof nearly stripped of the clear coat, looks really bad! :( So how would you go about fixing this, do you the complete pannel resprayed?

yes, unfortunatley u will need to respray the whole panel.. also u might have to get the panel beater/whoever is painting it to mix a colour closer to what it is now, being an older car u will notice that the colour it is now has faded alot from the original colour it came out in

Damn well i dont think i could exactly afford that right now, but as you can see from the pic it isnt too bad, yet. Plus i wanna save up and buy a better magna one before i start doing up a car more, for now my stereo will do me!
