View Full Version : Parker light coloured covers
I got my hands on some of those blue tinted covers that go over your parker lights, but when I was driving home they slipped off and are now rolling around the headlight assembly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get them out?
Use a sledgehammer.
How helpfull you are...
Can you get a pic for us? Are they plastic? bendable?

Do you have the clear parabolics or the standard headlights. Its easy if you have the parabolics
as all you need is a flexible piece of steel wire with sticky tape on the end and insert it either
through the parker light hole or the headlight hole (might be easier through the headlight hole)
and guide it to the cover and press firmly and remove. If you have the standard headlights, you
might be able to do the above as well (more difficult to see where the cover is) but you might
have to remove the headlight and tip it over and shake the cover out but don't drop it. :D
Vlad, I got the standard headlights. I had a go at using a bit of soft soldering wire to try and retrieve the little cap, but no luck.

That's what I'm gonna try and do when I get home (@TAFE at the moment). I dunno how to take the headlights out. could someone give me a guide to where the screws are to remove the headlights?
The little buggers I'm trying to get from the front corners of my h/l look like the below...they're bendable.
EDIT: I paintshopped (!) a little diagram to better show what i'm on about.
what bout takin the globe out and puttin a vacuum cleaner thingy upto the hole and suckin the little thingy out? did that make sense?
good idea mate! might just work!
