I want a 6G75. Probably going to be cheaper to source it from interstate. If you know of one and could kindly let me know the contact details/name & location of a wrecking yard who has one, that'd be great. Cheers!

Try giving Mitsibits a call. They're in Sydney, 0297425608. It might be a long shot, but there's not much that Mitsubishi made that they don't have.

did eddies have a VRX in SA a week or two back??

Yeah, tried them, want to see if I can do better than $1750 for an engine alone. Considering it's arguably an engine noone's going to want for some time, I'd prefer to keep looking and beat the prices down. Cheers veradabeast!

$1750 sounds resonable. Your getting quite alot of engine for that. Recon they will start selling well, they are a excellent straight foward upgrade for 3rd gen Magnas. Hey if you can get one cheaper great.

It is a very good engine from what I've been told, what I've read, and the power at-the-wheels they produce with breathing mods, but I still reckon there's just no chance they're going to be a sought-after item. After all, who's actually done it so far? Let alone blown a 380 engine!

It's a great N/A upgrade for a 3rd gen but the 10:1 comp of the 380 with a piston close to it's limit is not the engine for a blower in standard trim.

you can look at PAJEROs as well they now have the 6G75 with DOHCs and some have MIVEC top ends as standard

Heavier (would have to be with MIVEC), 7kW more standard, 14Nm less than the 380. I'll keep things simple ;)

Not saying it can't be done Rob, you just have to be very careful with the timing those pistons don't like any detonation. You know I wish you all the best with it.

Cheers Dave

Whew! Well hopefully safe tune, stock knock sensor, water/methanol injection plus my safeguards switching to a conservative map all will be good

Wrong orientation which would complicate the entire install.

still could take the top end off and bolt on to 6G75 in situ??
