Hey guys,
I've begun experiencing a weird problem with my KH Verada's central locking.
Its very temperamental - sometimes it does it and other times its fine.
When I press the remote to unlock the car, the car unlocks, locks, unlocks and then locks again! WTF!???
So i have to repress unlock, and then quickly open the door to get in. Once i close the door behind me, it locks, unlocks and locks again.
Sometimes also, after leaving the car, and all the doors are unlocked, i shut the drivers door, and it automatically locks the car!
Not good!
I have eliminated that the problem is the remote, because it happens with both remotes I own.
I'm thinking its the central locking unit in the drivers door.
Any other thoughts?
have you done anything that may have shorted the central locking fuse? mucked around with any wires etc?
Im pretty sure i've had this happen once before, but it only happened the one time and never again so i never bothered looking into it

I had a similar issue with a broken wire in the rubber bit between the door and the car body, sliced open the rubber, soldered the wire together, problem solved. Pain in the **** to find the issue however, especially when my car wouldnt stay locked.

Was it playing up all the time, or temperamental like mine?

I think the solenoids in door locks can do that sort of thing if they load up for some reason, i'd check the rods between the solenoid and the actual lock and everything is actually moving smoothly.
Do all the doors do it or just the drivers, i'd check the front two for smooth running first in case they are both masters

Might come down to a simple battery replacement of both remotes? It might be a slim chance that both remotes batteries are running low??
I've also been getting the same problem as you but it only happens on 1 of the remotes but not the both. Since replacing the battery it's been fine since.

I sorta had the same prob a while back; occasionally drivers door would open and close a few times, or it would unlock a few mins of being locked.
I have taken off my trim a fair few times in the last few weeks and problem has completely disappeared. Im guessing there was just something in the way, or maybe the door handle surround wasnt on properly... (I had bought a new remote about a month before it started so it wasnt an issue with the remote..)

Mine locks ok but occasionally it will refuse to unlock with my old or new remotes. The indicators flash, but the doors do not unlock! So I obviously have to unlock doors with the key. However, if I then lock with the remote and try and unlock again with the remote it works fine. I think maggie is getting old and forgetful.
