***EDIT: Answered. Mods can Delete***
I'm at work and my wife is at home with a dead keyless remote - she needs the car, but the keyless remote has died since I locked the car up last night.
Can she start it without the remote? If so how?
(quick search gave no answers)

Key works?? I thought the immobilser needs to be unarmed first?
She hasn't tried that yet - I told it it wouldn't work....

I though the immobiliser was controlled by the key not the remote? dunno but yeah, key will work fine, my wifes TH remote had dead batteries for months and she just used the key.
Likewise, when you take your car to the mechanics and give them the mechanics key but no remote, they can open and start your car.

reminds me of a time at work.
A guy from another building came up to me and asked me to call the guys at the depot to come pick him up because his remote was dead..
The look on his face when I said "Use the key"
Don't worry about it

Using the key to open the car (if it's been locked by the remote) will trigger the alarm on my TJ, but the alarm will die as soon as you put your key in the ignition and start the engine.

Don't feel too bad, an NRMA guy once told me he got a few call outs a week of people standing next to their car with the dead remote, wondering how to get in. You aren't the first, or the last.
