i have a TE and when the fuel gauge gets below half way when ever i turn the car off it drops down to empty, but when i restart it the gauge comes back up to normal. is this normal or do i have a problem

normal i'm sure i thought when the car is off it drops down when the car is on it go's where it should even if you have a full or half a tank of fuel :happy:

That annoys me, most of the other cars i've owned have had fuel guages that stay on when the keys off.

yeah, if its over half a tank it seems to stay uo but below half it drops donw

i have a KE and the gauge stays at the level whether on or off, in fact to get an accurate reading i wait for a couple of hours with it parked in my level shed and it reads exact. as far as i know all 3rd gens stay at the level regardless.

the fuel guage in my car - full, nearly empty, half full or otherwise; always drops to zero when i turn the car off....
