Hiya ppls, I'm new to this forum. Anyways, I have owned a number of mitsi's in da past including a TJ 2002 magna ralli-art which I regretfully no longer have. Either way, I have a problem with my V6 auto TS. Haven't driven it in ages, but all in good nick n all, except the engine one day decided to have no power hence I haven't used it in ages. Haven't had the time to look into it till recent. The main symptom is it's been stalling, and you can drive it like a granny, but the moment U give it hard throttle, it has no power and you can feel it really struggle to go. Very rough. Go to 0-60 slowly and it's not so bad, but trying to do the same in full throttle and ya get there even slower. Not sure exactly what it is. I've replaced the fuel pump, thinking it possibly could be the fuel filter perhaps or blocked injector. Any advice welcome pls. :)

Injectors blocked, or maybe it's a misfire... does it kind of sound like a lawn mower?

Probably best to replace the sparkplugs and leads, oh also does the check engine light come on?

i had exactly the same symtoms you are talking about it was the fuel filter full of gunk. mine didnt want to start first kick either but all was fixed with a new filter

you could take the return line off the fuel regulator and attach a hose into a bucket turn your car on and see how much is coming out it should be a steady stream. thats how i tested mine, before the new fuel filter was in, only a dribble was coming out. another mech at work told me that was a crude way off testing your fuel pressure without a guage

Thanx for the advice, leads n plugs aren't too old, although will replace if all else fails. But I'm betting towards filter or injectors now. It happened just after I filled up the tank when it was very very empty. So maybe it picked up some gunk from the bottom of the tank. The engine light isn't on and yes, it doesn't like to start easily either right now. I kinda like the crude method of testing the fuel pressure n will give it a go to narrow it down a little.
