Hey guys, sorry bout this pointless thread... but at work today, i heard a nice sounding/supercharged black AWD magna cruising thru ellenbrook in W.A. with the plates 'domin8tr' or something along the lines of. Was just curious to what was done to this magna, as it was different to any i have heard. Beautiful Magna, the only thing it lacked thru my eyes(or ears) was a better sounding exhaust, sounded stock(may not of been). Just wanted to see if the owner was a forum member.

thanks for the reply...its a very nice looking and sounding magna, just didnt seem to have pickup id expect from a supercharged magna. Next question is..... how is it possible to run a stock engine with a supercharger? who did the conversion?(his daughter?). I like hense i am curious.

well for starters i never met the dad, and the only reason i new she was his daughter was when she told me she crashed his car into the letterbox lol then i realised from the description of the car. i ebelieve he used to be a member as well.

lenda...who does your work? yourself or do you use a shop? I have an '99 Altera auto, only minor mods, king springs, rims, rampod and i plan on doing more, but i am worried to get my mech to do more....as he doesnt do much work on magnas....he is actually the one guy to see in perth if u own a 300zx. Ive heard too much bad news about RPW to use them for anything...though i got my rampod from them which was cheaper then repco.

theres nothing wrong with RPW its just the wait, depending on wat mods u wanna do is to wether u can do them ur self or take it to a tuner or mechanic(like me, though im not quilified yet)

body, suspension, and general work i do myself. i used to use mitsubishi but they dont like my car anymore, its modified lol since then i do it myself, but if i get any major problems, tuning or installing something i will get tenegah to do it for me, they do performance cars.

Doney...my mechanic has a bigger wait then RPW.....i just listen to guys who i know that have mitsu's and i read this forum...RPW...well dave i think it is from RPW has told me a few things, and they r not worth doing. Yes he does have a bulls**t twin turbo, but hey, If u had one of the quickest magnas around would you really share the exact secrets to make it that way? I know i wouldnt, and i would sell people mods to make money, even if they made little or no difference.

Tenagah seem to be very switched on and have done some work for a few members on here, i personally will never go to RPW, pretty much everything they sell can be found elsewhere cheaper

Plus im pretty sure they almost rooted Lenda's engine tuning it sooo lean it was ridiculous

There are only 3 things wrong with RPW

Anyone who trusts them these days after the greif that many members of this forum have had are simply fools

Plus, Magna's devalue badly enough as it is, why devalue them even more with RPW crap

Just to let you guys know, Im not a 100% sure about this, but i was talking to a mate who knows John Otter and apparently Tenegah might be closing shop soon. My mate used to deal with john otter when he was at rotomotion. He gets his evo work done at Hyperdrive, but they are expensive, mainly deal with skylines.

lenda

they were going to due to no demand when the economy when down but they seem to be holding in there and i think they are going to stay open.

man the car has changed alot from then.Unless it was in the fine print of any paperwork you may have signed getting the work done, I'd say yes he should have. At the very least the plates should be completely blurred out.

Hey Lenda,

A bit bizarre how I stumbled on this. Was lookin at your member machine thread, liked your grill so googled "KH Xi Verada Grill", brought up your car on the RPW site on the first page of results, then saw Black AWD thread talking about your car and RPW. :wtf:

Might be worth a call to RPW to at least remove your number plate.

Cheers

Well i don't know anybody that's had work done by them that hasn't had problem's including myself. One thing they seem to do is give a price on something installed but when it's time to pay the bill there's extra work done that you didn't even ask for or told about prior to installation so your bill goes from say $550 to $690.

It's alleged a guy had an engine built by them including forged piston's etc well the engine completly shat itself while tuning (wasn't even being pushed),when the engine was pulled down it was found to be completly stock!,Dave refused to refund the customers dollars so he punched Dave in the face!

I had some pacemakers and a HF TB installed and was told drop it off first thing monday and pick it up that afternoon, well i didn't get it back until friday arvo because they didnt have a TB to suit in stock and the extractors needed modification to the flex pipe (stuff they really should of known),so after picking it up and driving half way to margaret river i went to use the cruise control which wouldn't work, after checking the invoice i see right down the bottom in faded grey ink ''customer to re-install cruise control"!.

Scratching serial numbers off parts.

I could keep going but i think you get the point..

if your willing to do your homework, spend the money, work out what you want, know the path you want to go, then yes.

If you throw enough dollars at them then yer why not.

Another 11sec magna in perth.... but i think other people will say aswell as me, is it worth spending 20k+ on a magna to achieve that time?

that it does, and yeah dreaming doesn't cost much, its when you turn them into a reality it starts to add up ;)
