hay all

I got a kelpro insert engine mount for the left hand side mount. And it looks totally different to the one in there now. I rang up auto barn they said the part number on the packaging is the same in the computar for the left hand engine mount. I got some pictures. Anyone help.?

Do you mean passenger side or drivers side? I haven't bothered to look in your profile to know if your in 1st gen, 2nd gen, or 3rd gen.

I was offered Kelpro insert by a parts shop - was nothing like what was req'd and they had to take it back for refund. This was for a large engine mount at drivers side of 3rd Gen (TJ). I ended-up getting a Mitsi genuine at cost of about $240- but more recently they have after-market ones on EBay for about $115- and have used that in a different car. Have noticed no difference in performance between the two, so far.

Another option is that some members in here mould mounts/inserts out of polyurethane - search would reveal who does it, tho Megatron is one who comes to mind. BTW - one of your pics wouldn't load for me, tried it a couple of times.

Mines a TH manual. Its the left hand side mount. witch is the mount witch is right below the airbox.

I'd say take it back. Get either the mitsubishi one (which is a rip off) or speak to Megatron and get one of his. They are around $100 and will last alot longer. They are stiffer though, and will bring some engine vibrations through to the steering wheel, but its not bad.

Went to kelpro myself and that mount is definatly the right mount for the left hand side. So wat do it do?

If they say its correct, then ok. Get the current one replaced with the new one. The one Megatron sells are huge compared to the original one.

If this is the correct one for your car, then get it changed.

Yeah. All my engine mounts are from him now. Not that bad really with vibrations. get used to it :)

I dont know ive been in magnas with polly mounts no good i reckoned but i guess u get used to it

LoL. Dont know what the one ive braught is made of but its definatly not polly cause its not expensive.
