I recently bought a RHS mirror off ebay. I installed in only a few days ago, but today while I was driving I noticed something strange about it. The image in the mirror is awful! It is all blurry and it stretches everthing. Its like when you stand in from of a convex or concave lens and it bends your body to make you look fatter or thinnner!
The glass/material has obviously been replaced, but with some cheap crap, coz it makes the mirror almost useless!!
This makes me kinda angry coz the only reason I bought the mirror off ebay was for the plastic/glass stuff in it. (A kangaroo hit my mirror, but the only damage was the shattered plastic/glass stuff).
Is it possible to buy the plastic/glass from mitsubishi or somewhere else? I really dont want to have to buy ANOTHER mirror... :(
Ebay is really starting to piss me off now, this is the 2nd dodgy item in like 2 weeks. ffs...

Almost certian you can just buy the mirror man!! No idea what part number or anything but pretty sure that it's like 20 bucks or so!! Had my mate who works at mitsubishi do a service on my car and he changed the glass for me so yeah just ask around man!!

How much was the eBay one? I recently had mine broken off (thanks to car park incident). Went to local Mitsu spare parts and got them to fit it as well, all for $70, from memory. You can't just get the mirror. It comes with the backing/brackets as well. That was for my passenger side one. The spare parts guys said I was lucky it wasn't the drivers auto-chromatic one.

Just been looking at the mirror closer, Looks like the sellers idea of 'replaced mirror', is a home job replace. The mirror stuff has been cut to shape!! Doddgyy! rrggggg :(
