Hay all

Im getting some unusual weeping all off a sudden from my sump pan and other places. Im wondering if anything could be putting pressure on the seals or something. Cause its happened all of a sudden.

Thanks Kurt

have you done anything lately like an oil change? any change in the engine sound? only thing i can think of is blocked PCV valve, maybe a blocked oil filter (most have a bypass valve though), or worst case there is a leak in your head gasket between oil gallery and combustion chamber. just guessing here, most likely the PCV valve or the crankcase vent pipe blocked, building pressure in the engine.

check out your rocker cover seals..

these are common to go and cause engines bays to have oil everywhere.. can sometimes trick you into thinking oil is coming out down lower cause the oil does make its way down there and then onto the ground.....

if you end up doing the rocker cover seals, grab yourself a kit that includes the spark plug tube seals aswell.. worth doing the whole lot while your there

have a look at your intake manifold where the large black tube from the airbox attaches. There is a small black tube that comes from the rear rocker cover to the inlet tube. This carries oil fumes etc from the rocker cover to be burnt in the combustion chambers. Check the fitting where it attaches to the inlet tube for cracks and perishing. Run your finger underneath it and see if it comes up oily. If there is a leak there, it will drip down the back of the engine and off the sump area and appear like the sump is leaking.
