I'm about to buy some 6.5" component speakers, ie, with separate tweeters, and have noticed the large amount of door real estate just above the existing 6.5" speakers.

Would this be a good spot to cut a hole and install some flush-mount tweeters?

has anyone done this?

Mines a KE not a TW but the doors would be the same.

Tweeters look good in this area.

Point A: Ooooh! Noice door card trims! Not standard, is this your own work W-V ?

Point B: The Verada 'delta panel' pods are $15-$20 each at Mitsi and give completely stock and more "stealth" install. Also, its easy as to install them - they just clip into a rubber moulding in place of the flat plastic panel. How you mount your good-quality tweets into the housing is up to you, but many have done it with next-to-nil hassle.

Point C: W-V's tweets look ace, just not quite so 'Stealth' as the delta-pods at front corner of doors.
