hi,
was just wondering how many ppl put their x-overs in the door? i was thinking of putting them in the door so i dont have to mess with wiring too much. anyone done this? is there space to put the cross overs?
thanks

mine are in the door
there on a metal plate between the door handle and the slot on the door trim (that slot where you grab to close the door)
dont have a pic of it tho
It would depend where you're mounting the tweeters. The one time I installed splits, the tweeters went onto the dash, so x-overs were under the dash.
Otherwise, if tweeters are going on the doors, then I would definitely put the x-over inside the door cavity, although making sure it stays dry and doesn't foul the window mechanism might be a bit tricky.
On second thoughts, maybe I'd go under the dash everytime?

well, ill be putting mine into verada pods on the door so i guess, the dor is my best bet.
I 'll have a look again tomorrow and see if i can follow mr roberto's idea
thanks
Mine dont sit anywhere near the doors.....
I guess its an easier way of wiring (less wires to run INTO the door). On the other hand, my tweeters are in the A pillars.
Oh - and I try and reduce rattles, god knows Magna doors suck for mid bass resonance - so I try and remove as much as I can from the doors, not put more in lol

i put my xovers on a little pocket down the bottom of the door trim...there was a little cavity there so stuck em there haha
Mine are door mounted. I found it easier than running individual wiring for the woofer and tweeter, although I'm not all that fond of the idea of rattling the crossovers with mid-bass, so I probably wouldn't do it with any speakers that have a lot of mid-bass.
