Hey all

I have a friend with a KH Xi rada, who was pulling his stereo out of the dash, and noticed an odd light that hes never seen before/never seen lit up

thats a picture with the center message display removed from his car, and a photo taken into the sun, to get it to light up a bit.
The display is being held horizontal, and the jewel light/cut out is bottom right of the display.
there is only one of this style / jewel in the message display thingy it looks like a sort of (_!_) sort of symbol to me?

in the message display, there IS a bulb in that location, but it has never lit up - but the car is running completely fine. its just never lit up ever.

was wondering if it might be a Diamante thing?
or it is ment to light up in his car but for some reason doesnt?

all other dash jewel lamps work fine in his car.

any thought or suggestions, appreciated :)

Could be one of the stability control warning lights for the overseas models. Only other thing I could think of is incoming horse shoe attack, but I mean heck how often does that happen these days.

Well, considering the almost abhorrent lack of 'Incoming Horse Shoe Attacks' of late, it can certainly explain the lack of the light warning me! :)

Going by the "translation" you typed-in to illustrate the warning light symbol (_!_) - it must be a "fat ass" warning light.
Invite me to sit in your car, it'll probably light up then.

If the 'base' of the horseshoe looks like it might just possibly be a tyre tread, it could be for an underinflated tyres warning light.

i recon it means like, your car is getting more horse power when its on...im pretty sure thats what it means.

I can understand your and other peoples frustration when people state incorrect information as true, but no one here did so, they merely participated in a discussion. You make comments like that a lot when people are simply discussing the thread topic, maybe we should just make AMC a magna-specific wikipedia instead?

Would've been good to have that wired up, would have certainly helped a lot of people in this country who drive along with almost completely flat tyres none the wiser.

A question was asked, the OP did not aske for a heap of people to throw in wild guesses, he asked what the light was for

As for the Wiki, go ahead make one but dont associate it with AMC

Quite frankly I am over people making half assed guesses at questions, incorrect statements etc etc and pure spam

This forum is the laughing stock of a lot of the reputable forums mainly due to the immature spam and crap that seems to fill each and every bloody thread.

There was a day when I could turn up at a ford day and state that I am involved with AMC and people from the ford or other forums would state "yeah, those are good informative forums"

It is high time people realised that and stopped with the wild guesses, crap info and spam everywhere. If people dont like that then move the &*(^ on and go to another forum where the immature attitudes and spam are wanted as they certainly are not wanted here

If we end up being a forum with 1000 mature well informed members it would be better than having a forum with 6000 people where a lot just come here to spam

I am not pointing at any individual so dont bother trying the old you are singlng me out crap either, will go ignored

The way forward for this place is to revolve around motor sport, show and shines, drag and dyno days and giving useful information to new members without spamming each bloody thread
