Hi All
I am new to this fourm and my first post so im hoping im in the right section!!

I have an 05 Magna LPG TW-ES
I have a problem with my cars alarm going off at random times
When the alarm goes off the horn sounds sick, which made me think it was the battery
However it was recently serviced and the battery report said the battery was 'Good'

To my understanding the alarm goes off when power is drawn....
My thinking was that maybe my battery is dying and that is affecting my alarm?

Upon looking at the battery the 'screw caps' appear to have had a very minor leak..

Also the car does make a ticking sort of sound, but the mechanic thought it was the LPG regulator, could it be the alternator is rooted? does that tick if its on its way out?

Any form of suggestions or help would be muchly appreciated!!
I rang Mitsubishi and they said 'bring it in' and i only want to do that if 100% necessary..
p.s New car warranty has expired, exceeded Km's

Kind Regards
Greg

Think I may have (HOPEFULLY) solved the problem!
after going absolutely MAD trying to work out what's causing it I went and pulled / pushed at all the doors boot and bonnet
when i did the bonnet BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, armed it kind did it again and off it went yet again!
the sensor must be faulty, however I did bend it up a bit if that makes sense?
Maybe after a few years of opening and closing the bonnet the bracket holding the sensor has gradually bent down a smidge?
Fingers crossed! it went off 3 times last night! my neighbours will kill me if it keeps up!

If there is still a problem is there a way of 'not using'/'disarming' the alarm as such?? until I can afford for it to be looked at?

Kind Regards
Greg

pretty sure you can just disconnect or take out the fuse to the horn, may be a temp solution.
