Hey guys.
I was out with a mate and i mentioned my problem with coming to a stop in my car and the RPM dropping to about 300rpm then back upto just under 600rpm even tho i've played with teh screw and stuff on the throttle body.
He said my Thottle Position Sensor could be dying, are they easy/cheap to repair?
So its when im coming to a stop completely, after a drive for longer than 30 mins probobly, the rpm will drop to around 300rpm then slowly raise. at this point the car feels as if it will stall but it then picks up.
any help would be greatly appreciated :)

That sounds more like an idle speed controller problem. If you can, give the throttle body a thorough clean, and make sure that the throttle body, inlet manifold and air ducting bolts are done up tightly. If it's still idling roughly, try fitting a secondhand ISC.

yeahh i put a high flow throttle body on not long back, but i had this isseu before that.
this one was clean, i made sure and i cleaned it but ill try checking all the bolts then accuiring a second hand one (or a few) and giving it ago.

Ive heard Idle Speed Motors are common to fail on V6 Magnas.. Is it idling alright when cold..?? Not idling real low..?

If its ok when cold and loaded up(ie AC On and idling) and still idling ok the idle speed motor is doing it job.:)
Sounds more like a Vaccum leak somewhere to me..:)

hmmm :S dammn
ill have to search around the engine bay for it, would hte leak be around the throttle body or anywhere in the engine?

You can check your TPS with a multimeter.
How to test your TPS (http://www.nardek.com.au/testisc510-10.htm)
And if it does turn out to be one
Part number and other details. (http://www.nardek.com.au/isc510-20.htm)

Considering there are 32 functions + on a standard multimeter You have to know what setting to use for what job. See if someone from amc can check it out for you. ISC's and TPS's are...cheap...from the wreckers..

No, ISC will nto cause low cold idle, you have a idle speed valve does that
Try ISC first then you should be fine
