Recently i anchored my sub box down to stop it rolling around the boot, i have actually seen it done this way before so i thought i'd share it with you all :)

So what i did was take the trim clip (i think that's what it was for) out of the boot floor and replaced it with an eye bolt.
Next i put some eyelet things on each side of the sub box (not sure of their name exactly).
Then just connected the two with an adjustable tensioning device.

All of these products are stainless steel and can be purchased from BCF.

Here's a picture, just because my explanation probably is hard to figure out :)

Man i bought 2 L shape brackets LITTLE ONES and screwed them in and on the floor of the boot, Never moves around - just carry a screwdriver in your dash incase you gota get the spare wheel out one day.

Use Gyprock Screws - coz they penetrate easily, their thin and dont cause any damage to box or floor - when you take them out like they nver been there.... :)

I wouldnt trust little brackets or little screws. Kinda depends on the size/weight of your box - but there's a lot of energy when you corner/brake or come to a crashing halt....

I have them - 15" Clarion 750W RMS with the AMP + CAPAITOR SCREWED to the top of the box, so basically your looking ta like 30-40kg.

NO PRBS i have a double screw one on either side - so 2 brackets with 4 screws in each, the bracket is around 10cm each side. Even looks alrite. If you put 4 brackets your box aint going nowhere. and THE LITTLE SCREWS hold up your GYPROCK ceeling which can be up to around 70kg - so do you real ithink they will come out? I take many hard corners veyhign in teh car slides to the other side LOL but the sub box stays - if mine falls i'd have srs problems coz i got all the cables running to the top to amp + cap and all could be srs prb if it falls - hasnt in teh 1.5yrs i had the system.

thats an epic idea, good work. it looks full pro too!

btw, on the topic of using gyprock screws, etc, just because you say it will hold 70kg, doesnt mean that it is a good idea using it. the screw is designed for a specific purpose, that is, holding gyprock. the thread on the screw would be unsuitable...

hey someone with some brains.....

I've seen these brackets fail under load, along with he screws coming out, or the bracket snapping clean in half.

There's a lot of G forces that apply to cargo, I would not trust those brackets - if it works for your car and you're happy then awesome - I've been taught otherwise.

I spent 7 bucks for 50 screws, 18mm, counter sunk, self tapping mild steel. Yet to come apart...
