The red with black don't have any power,i have downloaded the diagrame for wire and what goes where but nothing is working. The blue does have power.
My car is a 98 mod tf.
These are the harness for the stero.

There's lots of bared wires floating around in there - will have been shorted out very likely.
Have you checked the fuses? Red/Black wire should be "battery" or "Constant 12V" wire. The Blue wire should be "Ignition" or "Switched 12V. Check your wiring diagram to see which fuses these trace back to.
Not sure what your buzzing noise is, nor what you mean about the green light - do you mean the T5 bulbs which plug into the cig lighter and ashtray illumination (will be sitting in the gap below teh radio while you have panels out....... just got it! The buzzing probably is the "Lights On" alarm - turn your light switch off!
Try to get all those bare bits of stray wires covered at least while you are working it out. When its sorted, you would be well-advised to try to solder those crimp connectors on as well (they are notorious for coming off the wire (not squashing hard enuf) and has happened to me too when I was convinced they were solid). When soldered, use electrical tape to individually wrap each crimp-connector to completely cover any bare wire ( or you could also use heat-shrink tube, but it is best fitted before you attach the crimp connectors).
As your loom in the car has already been cut, its a bit late - but Aerpro make plug-in adaptor-connectors, which are an excellent idea.

Thanks
yah the loom was like that when i got the car.and the car did not come withe a stero
Yah the green lite i think is the ashtray lite and the alarm had never worked before was the door alarm.
You see i replaced every fuse in the car and under the bonnet,so i think things that were not working are now working.
Plus u should see the dash it,s only just held on with a couple of bolt,s who ever did the interior has done a bodgy job putting it all back together.

I think the buzzer is more likely a ""lights on" alarm - if you have lights on (even just parkers) this will sound when you open a door - so you don't hop out of car and lock it having forgotten to turn off lights. Open a door with lights off, you won't get that sound.
Mitsi commonly use a green/white wire for illumination - but radio harness may not have it. Check you have power to green/white wire with lights on if that is present, otherwise I'd suggest its safer to switch lights off while you work - the less live power in there while you change wires, the less chance of shorts/blown fuses and possible damage!
Another point to consider, Mitsi radios/stereos commonly earth themselves through their casing onto the mounting brackets. If the stereo you are fitting has its own earth wire (likely to be black), then it won't have an earth wire in the Mitsi loom - just find a bolt or screw that connects into a metal part of the dash frame - there is a convenient spot in top left corner of the opening you are working in!!
where abouts in NSW are you?
Whoever done this should be shot.
My phone number is 0404 526 640. I may be able to help out....and i'd be pretty impressed if you have not blown some fuses (or the previous owner)
Is that "blown the previous owner" or "the previous owner blown a fuse" ???
sorry, couldn't resist.
iirc, the wire colours mean the following, although sometimes different cars or manufacturers put a twist on it.
There could be special colour stripes instead of the follwing, so this list might be a starting point:
black is earth (kind of standard) and red is the +12V line for when the ignition is on, orange is typically the permanent +12V line.
Blue is a signal wire to power antenna and audio amplifiers in aftermarket situations.
There's also a big black plug which is the physical antenna connection.
Next up are the speaker wires - typically there'll be 4 of these in grey for the front or rear & 4 in green for the rear or front. Each of these 8 will have a specific colour stripe to signify left or right.
Now looking at your plug for the stereo, it's speaker cables will be the green, grey, purple and ?light grey?.
The power wires are as I said, except yellow instead of orange.
I wasn't sure if I had my colours of red + orange (yellow) for ignition versus permanent 12V power around the right way, but your pic shows the red tagged as 'switched' which means ignition-on=12V to me.
As for the spaghetti inside the car, it's a bit hard for me to even guess at them! It shouldn't be too hard to work out which wires are speaker wires versus power, so once you've got them paired you may be able to test them with a small battery to work out which ones go off to which speaker. from memory, a tiny 9V battery should be safe, but I'd do a search for more info before trying it. If you can see the physical speaker, you'll see it move forward or back when you connect the battery. If you can't see it, try jiggling the connection to the battery and you may just be able to hear the speaker.
Definitely get the exposed wiring cleared up - that is terrible in the first photo. I do hope it's not your wiring ;)
As Ers said, where abouts are you? Is there anyone local willing to lend a hand????
Good luck. G.

Crimps arnt bad things to use. IF you crimp them (have a close look, they are not actually crimped lol).
Secondly, you dont use exposed connectors, thats just woefull.

hahaha nice one.....just re-read my post, good work :P
I may be able to lend a hand, just depends on location, time, and the fact this is just a butchered loom :tired:
Just had a thought (strange I know).
Go to pick'n'payless, cut out a matching loom and plug. ($5?)
Solder all the wires back onto the plug.
Buy a loom adaptor from repco ($15)
Done and done.

Looks like a JB Hi-Fi install
And I thought my twisted and electrical taped wires were bad - at least they're insulated!
