Hey all
Took my struts out and noticed my right wheel had a huge scrape around it on the sidewall where it joined with the rim. About a 1cm incision, turns out one of the screws that used to hold my cargo bay had been touching it after I've had it lowered, luckily I found it in time, didn't look far off a blow out. Just a heads up, not sure if it was specific too my car but the bolts were stock bolts

They seem to be the bolts the cargo barrier might have bolted into, Just look above your wheel inside the guard. No cargo barrier was in the car when I got it so not sure if its OEM or aftermarket install

I've got a cargo barrier fitted to my wagon, but no bolt holes where you're talking about.
A pic would help to identify what it might have been for.

Wouldn't be the first time something similar has happened. I was cleaning under the guards in my dad's 4WD a little while back and caught my hand on two screws in the guard. He had a fire extinguisher 'professionally' installed in the boot... they drilled holes into the guard to mount it above the wheel arch. The screws stuck a good inch into the wheel bay  It wasn't going to cause clearance issues on a 4WD, but I certainly got a suprise :/

Alscall: I'll get that picture for you, but at the moment my car is in my mates garage on stands, can't get to it!
Red valdez: Same story here, seems it might have been aftermarket and they've taken a slack route, 2 bolts straight through each guard, probably even more than an inch out, I think there 40mm bolts :|, I just got some shortened ones so they sit flush
