Has anyone looked at the new Pedders Coilovers?
On the net there is no listing for a Magna but I thought maybe someone may have looked into them.

heard about them.. def made for evo 7/8/9 so fronts for a 3rd gen magna are no issue

Mate, if it is pedders, dont touch it....no bull

I have just a few days ago removed yet another of sagged, slapping pedders springs and replaced with kings, the owner called me a few hours later to tell me how nice it was not to have spring slap (where coils were hitting) The initial fix done on this car was to glue bits of garden hose around the top coils to shut them up.

If you are going coil overs, save your $$ and get good ones, some coilovers can lead to a very bad ride and are simply not worth the $$ spent

Have a chat to Sam MGNTZD as he has a good set that have worked really well

These coilovers are the ones that you can jack your car up, remove the wheel and adjust the hight of your car right?
(sorry i dont know much about suspension)

i have king spring lows and pedders sports rider shocks, are pedders shocks good? i havn't had a problem :-S

I have pedders and have had them in my car for over a year with no sag what so ever

These coilovers are the ones that you can jack your car up, remove the wheel and adjust the hight of your car right?

I'll respectfully disagree :P

Coilovers is nothing more than a term for 'coil over shock' set up. Most cars now run this from factory - they are however not freely adjustable.

Adjustable coil overs are lowered and raised by adjusting the threaded section on the coilover - though some work slightly differently.

so because they are adjustable with the thread, does this make them a rougher ride? or just more expensive?

Aftermarket shocks are generally harsher ride, not because they are adjustable - they are intended for track use. Stiffer springs, rebound rates (though some are adjustable) etc

For track work you cant go past adjustable coil overs.

For the street, eh - I wouldnt, but thats a personal opinion after being in many cars with aftermarket adjustable coilovers (in skylines, rx7's, luce's etc)

ahhh okayy.
that does make sense tho, you can have them lowered for the track day and wack it up for a short drive home.

thats cool, i dont think i can afford to buy any but it would be handy being able to adjust the hight as you feel ;) haha

Depends hugely on the quality of the shocks. I'd happily live with the Cusco Zero 2 coilovers I've sampled in a Subaru even with the shit roads around here.
