How much should I expect to pay for a new alternator (Don't want to get ripped off!!). I have a 99 KH Verada. Also are there any aftermarket ones out there worth looking at?

don't know about new, but re-new your old one would be about ~$100-150.

Go to yellowpages.com.au to look for auto electricians and ring a few of them up close to your place for quotes... not too much trouble .

As to aftermarket ones, do you really need a bigger Alternator? what are you running on your car that drains electricity?

Thanks. I wasn't thinking of a bigger one just thinking ahead if the mits ones were to expensive. I thought there might be a cheaper equivalent.
