Hey fellas,

I'm trying to change my oil. I found the screw on the sump, but not sure which way to turn it... the screw head is fairly big and there is red paint on it.

I've tried both direction, but it seems to be very hard. Maybe if I knew exactly which direction is correct I can use a lever or something and exert more force on it.

Normally it's counter-clockwise to undo a screw right?

I have a 2001 TJ VRX.

Yes, counter-clockwise is correct.

Sump plugs are always tight, so you have to get some serious force on it.
Try to use a ratchet with a good extention bar so you can get some good purchase.

if u dont feel confident on doign it ur self take it to a mechainc and ge them do it they break it they fix it :D
