Firstly, I am aware of the search function, but there is huge amounts of material on 'remote locking' or changing batteries.

I have a KH Xi Verada.
It has the common Green/Red Remote for the locking. Currently, none of the remotes work with the car. I cannot program new ones, as it wont let me, normally, it beeps when a new remote is programmed in, but it never beeps anymore.

Also, i thought perhaps all 3 of my current ones are cactus, so another - amazingly generous - member sent me 2 new remotes.

I installed new batteries in each and checked the contacts were not broken, and still I have no remote locking!!! Strangely, the alarm and everything works fine. the keys lock ad unlock the car as they should. So, how do I fix it?

Funnily, in a TJ Advance, we have the same issue! but I cannot identify a cause.
