Does anyone know if I can put hotter Cams in my TJ 3.5 without updating the ECU & will it make any difference or do I need to do both to get any benefit.
EG: RPW stage 1 cams,
Powerchip or Interceptor.
Has anyone done these mods in stages with dyno reports showing each stage.
People seem to always get all these mods done with seeing what they started with.

Try looking at the posts above and below.
Also search on SKR.
Have a look in the AWD discussion group about ECU tining at SKR.
Anything that comes from Alan J, or Graham is pertinent as well
There is really no point on spending big bikkies on an interceptor, installing it and tuning it when you can get a $400 jobby from SKR.
Or, even better. book yourself a road trip to Adelaide and have it done properly.

Yeh mate i did these mods. Have a TJ sports(auto). with extractors only got 154hpatw. Put in cams dialed 2 degrees retarded with emanage piggyback and got 175hpatw added a plenum and bumped it up to 184hpatw. so yeh 30hp gain for a million dollars or so:doubt:
