Hey people i have a 97 TE Magna Advance, that has been, well lets put it bluntly, mis-treated, it hasnt had a service in god knows how long, and when i did get the service done they said the gearbox oil was worse than the engine oil! Now thats bad! So i think its some time for TLC =D
First thing was putting Verada lights in hehehe, hopfully by December i'll have a new sound system in(just intime to go to the nats), New 6" splits, 6x9's, 12" sub, the works lol, but thats being taken care of for me, but something i want to do and im not sure about, is Climate control. At the moment i have the standard Advance air con, and was wondering how hard would it be to put in the climate control! I have a friend who can help with electrics as well as an uncle who is an Auto electriction! We pulled out the dash to put in my headunit the other day to find a mish mash of wires, whoever has owned this car before me has decided to play techie and stuff it all up, i dont think there is a wire behind that centre dash that DOESN'T have tape on it and isn't generally untidy. When we were looking at how to pull my dash out we took out the ash tray and there was a 12v wire that we werent expecting that was sitting resting on the back of the ash tray when we pulled out the ashtray it touched metal, blowing one of my radio fuses! I have someone who is willing to rewire my car for me, but i would like to have climate control, and as they are doing the rewiring for nothing, so i would feel totally rude if i got them to put in my climate control. If it is gonna be a big job i will get them to do it, but if it is something i can do, then i'd much rather that! So any info on what im getting myself in for would be great!! Thanks =D
