If you are goin to change its probly best to empyt it all out and change the filter as well...and use all new stuff...

Everyone says use mitsu stuff...i didnt, i always go against the grain...and mines doin fine....and cops a good trashin...

i think your supposed to take it somewhere to get the tranny oil changed - cos you can only actually get 1/2 of the old oil out and it eventually causes wear if you dont change it properly.. look in your yellowpages there should be somewhere that uses like a heart transplant machine thing where they pump oil in continuously until its all been changed properly.. aparently this is the only way to reduce wear.. also make sure they use proper mitsu oil!!

otherwise take it to mitsubishi to get it done proplerly..
i wouldnt stuff around with the gearbox :(

You can drain it by pulling off one of your oil cooler lines off the radiator and running the car with the auto in neutral until the flow of fluid starts to splutter, can take a few minutes sometimes. This sounds rough but is actually how a lot of manufacturers recommend doing it if you don't have a flushing machine. This nearly completely empties the converter so you will probably get nearly twice as much oil out than just draining the pan(use a large drain tin as you might get up to 7-8 litres out.)
Use only genuine mitsu oil or castrol tqms-t as the wrong oil in these boxes can shrink seals and stuff your box.
If you are not mechanically minded take it to a dealer.
