Hi, I was looking for clear tail light lenses for my TF and found them online at ozeparts http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ where I notice a disclaimer attached to them which states the following...

FOR OFF ROAD USE - ATTENTION (DISCLAIMER)
This item is intended for OFF-ROAD or show purpose only. It is not intended to be used for regular driving conditions. User must follow the direction given or get approval from proper authority before being used on road.
Ozeparts.com.au is NOT responsible for any misuse for this product. Any use of this item other than its intended purpose voids any warranty given.

I guess it may vary depending on where you live but does anyone know if these lenses are legal in Victoria for normal road use?, would I be asking for trouble if I did purchase these lenses? Does anyone know? Understandably, the disclaimer is carefully written by saying 'not intended to be used for regular driving conditions' but it is not saying you cannot legally use them! I can live without them but I would like to fit them if it is legal. Any help appreciated.
Cheers, Neil.

in the night you will not have any problems.. but during the day its abit of a problem because the red light is not bright enough...
I've been stopped a couple of times and all they said was change the bulbs...

other than that it looks good to have clear lenses

ADR's apply in every state and territory in Australia. Not every cop know's the exact specification of the ADR's which is why some stuff isn't picked up which leads people to believe they're okay. Apparently these lights can be modified to add the red retroreflective bit which should mean they comply but whether that means they do comply as they were modified and mot manufactured as such I have no idea. Please note these are white tail lights, not clear tail lights like the Altesa lights. And lucky you've got a white Magna, they look crap on almost any other colour.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I had a feeling it was going to be a case of buyer beware, I think I will ponder over it a while longer. Well I guess if I get too much grief I could just swap them back over. I agree that they look good on white. Appreciate the feedback.

I would ask but I have the feeling I would just get a cryptic response. :headbange

yah wot redav siad it correct. If you get em get glass/hobby die and keep dieing the globes red.

if u get em and get defected the law is it is about $70 each defect. So thatl be $140 for your lights just cause u dont have a red reflector
