How hard is it to replace the window mechanism?
The motor sounds fine but no window movement.
I dont want to spend weeks getting it fixed under warrenty.
Can it be purchased from a parts store and easily fitted?
What is the procedure for removing the door trim to check it all out
Anyone done this before??
Cheers

I doubt the door arms/mechanism is the thing that has broken. Its probably the rope/plastic that is joined to the motor on the regulator (If the 380's pw's are the same as 3rd gens). If this is the case then you will need a whole new regulator, which will cost you probably a few hundred and then you will also have to fit it which is a little tricky. I would just get it done under warranty if I were you...
I wouldnt have a clue as to take of the 380 door trim.... probably just a few screws...

Hi
i had same prob 2 weeks ago, got a whole new mechanism fomr wrecker for $60, only $100 brand new from mitsubishi suprisingly. Easy to do, took about 20 mins all up to do. I first off tried to repair it but it all fell apart so resorted to replace it all. I got told first time anyone has bought one from wrecker

I had my drivers one fail on me. Took it too the dealer. They tested it then and there and ordered the appropriate parts. The parts came in fairly quickly, they called, I booked, they fixed, I smiled. No $$$

ditto, took very little time. Infact, they already had the part so it was done that day.

Have had 2 done under warranty. Why bother yourself just take it to the dealer. Most have them in stock as it seems to be a comman problem. First one took 1/2 hr second one they had a busy day so had to leave it
