i do however plan on keeping her for a couple more years, so new water pump, timing belt a few seals and gaskets will be needed shortly..

what i would like to do is freshen up the 74..

all the fitting/removal i can do no worries, as with engine assembly, just the machining etc etc i will need a mate to do for me..

start with a 6G74,

Pajero pistons (the ACL equivilant)
new rings
new acl severe duty bearings or standards
some very mild cams (still want good economy) so maybe even just some 75/ralliart bumpsticks
mild clean up of the ports and chambers (again i would employ my mate to do this for me)
i'd get him to do a 5 angle job on the seats, and some new guides (possibly some new lifters)
full gasket kit,
new waterpump, oil pump
new belts

ofcourse there will be some things that i will have to buy that i didn't plan for..

but it's not going to be all done in a weekend so to speak.. i'll get a spare 3.5, do all the work to that.. and then just change them over..

SERIOUSLY contemplating a manual conversion also..

anything else?

i'd give the inlet manifold a bit of a port job as much as i can get in there.. and possibly get a SKR tune to suit..
