last week my front left spring broke while i was doing 100 :redface: .... anyways i got it fixed but now my front is a good 2-3 inches higher than b4:(

So basically where the front tire used to be slitly higher than the top of the tyre arch of the car, it is now a good 2-3 inches below it:(

you shouldve just replaced them with some lowered king springs. $120 for 2 im pretty sure they are. wouldve kept you low, if not lower :D

yeh, or just get your springs reset.

yeah... mine sits at a nice height for me... but its cuz they are the original springs and have sagged like a b!tch. so i'm gonna have to put lowered springs in when i replace them.

cant reset broken springs :D with 320,000 on the clock you'd be thinking that the springs would b abit sad anyhow. although it has the full service history dosent it? wen were newer springs put in? best bet would be to put brand neweys in.

buy one new spring and get them all reset? (it was aimed at) therefore your only buying 1 spring and not $240 worth of them? can you spell duh?

are u sure that buying 1 brand new spring and resetting 3 other pretty sad springs will give you 4 springs all the same size/strength? how long will the reset springs last til they sag again? the new spring will take longer to sag (being brand new never used) and give u different heights. how much for resetting 3 springs? y not spend abit extra and get brand new lowered ones all round?

i've never heard of resetting the springs. regassing shocks yes, but resetting springs? ive asked a few people on msn (ppl who post on fastmagna) and they havent heard of it either. one of them said you can't reset a spring "coz springs are metal and simply fatigue". "they are irrapareable. they are replaced, not reset". he could be wrong. i just havent heard of it. havent bothered researching bout fixing stock suspension parts wen brand new parts arent they expensive

Depends, to reset springs the heat them up and stretch them into shape again, it tends to make them a little softer because once metal is heated and cooled it looses some strength. Not often done now days when replacements are so cheap.

im not sure on the exact price but is real cheap, 120 for all of them i can get them done through a mates dad who part owns some mechanics shop etc.. so his dad knows people and gets **** done dirt cheap.

I'm buying new springs all round cause i'd just prefer new springs then springs that will sag again in 6 months.. my springs are not that stuffed, its just my shocks which are rooted so im putting in lowered springs at the same time, why not?
