Hey.

I'm calling the more Astron-knowledgable right now.

Just wondering if anyones got any little tricks when it comes to releaseing the ratchet timing chain tensioner on the oil pump?

Reason being I'm needing to remove the cam gear and dont want to have to pull the timing case off to do so.

I know where it is, but I've tried things such as coath angers, long screwdrivers etc...anyone got anything different?

wow you guys can get yours to release with just a wooden stick?? I had to use a crow bar and lever the living crap outta it to get it to release tension!

WHAT?!!!

that must be the fully hydraulic tensioner. yeah the ratchet ones have a little lever that you depress which releases the tension from the chain. lol
