are they actually proven to work?
not disisn anyone or any company, but realisisticly, we've never ran a FSE in my car and its been to hell and back as far as fuel and tuning is conserned... so it makes me think... unless of course the aftermarket ECU had something to do with fuel flow, thus elminating the fuel pressure regulator options :doubt:

yeah i looked at rpw's and although they are superb, they come at a price, anyone know of any cheap(er) ones ?
the reason why i am asking is that my car has been running lean for a while and detonated (possibly) the other night on a magna cruise hehe ,

If it's running lean then I don't think you should look to an FPR to fix it. You should look at the source of the problem and not try to compensate for it.

i wouldnt get a FPR in order to fix the problem u have, it probably wouldnt do enough. Both Malpassi or FSE are not cheap, i would put that money toward upgraded or second fuel pump and bigger injectors. what compression do u have?

If you go either, go Malpassi, the FSE are known to have issues with the valve in them thus not holding pressure when car is off

Hey, someone said that there's a Malpassi head office or something in Brisbane. Anyone know if there is or where it is? It was mentioned ages ago and they offer reasonable prices when compared to other places.

hey everyone cheers for the replies ,
in answering various questions and comments :
altera98: i dunno what compression i have , i haven't done anything internal to the engine, also, do u know of a ball-park figure for the price of second-hand upgraded fuel pumps and fuel injectors ?
mr nizmo: cheers for the website address, if i decide on getting a FPR then i will definetly give him a call
i bought a fuel injector cleaner thing today and put it in with some premium fuel, so at the end of this tank i will let u all know if there has been any improvement
chers for the replies

Well with my FSE i have noticed that when the car is off the PSI drops below 20, but when i start it, it shoots back up to my setting which around the 43 - 45 psi.
Does this mean that my FSE FPR is faulty?
Cheers

Malpassi does makes the internals for FSE..
The pressure will slowly drop when you turn off the engine, but I think the problem with FSE is that it's a one way valve which makes starting a car hard at times... For a Magna, get a linear rate increase FPR...
