thinking of putting a pod on what parts do i need i see i need a bracket to fit from the maf to the pod someone here must know were and what the part is you need.
is it worth it

No it's not worth it. You'll lose a bucketload of torque from having the pod suck in your hot engine bay air. If you are going to do it, plumb it away from the engine bay.

if i enclosed it i take it would be no diffrent than stock and i see people runing a hose off it down to the front bar but wouldnt you get the heat off the road? and the crap to going into filter

just stick in a K&N pannel filter and be done with it.

or instead change your paper filter more often for better results

Better results as in filtration rate or power Trav? I've run my car at the drags with a paper filter, K&N and no filter all on the same night with only a maximum of .1sec variation between the three, which could easily be my own error margin in shifting. Never run a pod at the strip before but my mate's manual VR-X was pulling horrible times with it on.

From what I've known, pods shouldn't be worse in performance that hi-flow panel filters - but never better. Because of the temperature each intake sucks in, the panel filter in the car's factory intake piping is the simplest and most effective option. Only real reasons to go for a pod would be the aesthetic reasoning and the slight induction noise. That's about it..

Yeah I used duct tape to seal off the top and sides of the airbox.
