Ahhh I read about these HIR bulbs a month or 2 ago when I was researching HID's but I couldnt find any anywhere!
Would be great if you could report back and tell us if the 4wd centre up the road from you has them in stock!! :D Very interested!

Would be interesting to see how these go in our less than perfect 3rd gen Para's light spread.

apart from better light control in a reflector housing as HIR still has a filament, pound for pound,a HID globe will give it a belting IMO,what is its lumen ouput?

55/60 is the standard
I used to have 90/110 in most of my cars, the Falcon still does now lol
You can not use the 90/110 in a plastic light as you will find it melted allover your front bar in pretty short time lol
In the Parras. the Phillips bulbs work very well and do not blow every 5 minutes like a lot of these so called ultra white bulbs tend to.

about 8%
but the box says 60/80 watt.
60 low, 80 high beam.
its like, 35% tint is legal, but 30% isnt i guess. still not 100% sure but i dont think that they would be legal. might be wrong though.
if i had it my way i would have the same ones madmagna mentioned.

...In the Parras. the Phillips bulbs work very well...Agree.
I followed heathyoung's advice and went for some Philips Vision Plus Bulbs (I couldn't find a stockist of the Osram Silverstars).
The Phillips bulbs are great but the dodgey para light/beam spread is still noticeable.
I wonder if any bulb/mod can help reduce the design limitations of our 3rd gen Para's. They look great :D but function 2nd rate. :doubt:
