Hay all

Can anyone tell me does the Quaife LSD fit into the gearbox without any modifications wat so ever.? Cause my gearbox mechanic said something about pushing out bearings or along those lines might break when pushing them out or reshim the bearings around the diff to make it fit.? Is this true or is he trying to rip me.?

Thanks Kurt

Usually they supply new bearings with the diff (thats what they told me when I enquired) & yep shims have to be inserted to get the correct clearances.

yep u have to set the free play of the diff push out old cone bearings and put new ones in with the correct shim
otherwise u will have too much or too little load on ure diff and the bearings will flog out very quickly and cause major problems with ure box
