Gurus and Geezers,
I am basically wondering which stereo is a good replacement for the existing factory-fitted one that is a big boxy unit hooked up to a 6-stacker.

Basically, I was sort of happy with my Belkin TuneBase FM transmitter, but that shit itself recently and I am now using a crap Zazz FM transmitter to play my own choonz. And the sound is crap, signal is sketchy at best and I don't have control over this one like I did with the Belkin (i.e. small and difficult to use)

However, because I luv me 'Rada just the way she is, I don't want to install a new stereo that doesn't blend in with the faux walnut trim and requires customised fascia cradles, I am at a cross-roads on what to do.

My specific question is (remembering I am not an audiophile and quite happy with the existing speakers), "What stereo would be a good size fit for the existing factory fitted unit?"

Criteria to consider include:-
1) Correct size to avoid any fascia customisations
2) Bluetooth as I have an A2DP connector for the iphone
3) Failing bluetooth, a Iphone connector cable
4) a USB connection, and;
5) is not a freakin' nightmare to install

If anyone can fit that criteria, I would be enternally grateful and will name a Playlist on my iPhone after you. Can't get much fairer than that.

Over and Out,
Neurokahuna

P.S. I am in Adelaide.

Car stereos are 2 standard sizes; single DIN and double DIN. You have a double DIN.

Why do you want to use Bluetooth on the iPhone? Get a http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=423 which comes with the USB cable you need to control the iPhone aswell.

Thnaks Munky....that is a spectacular start.....the main reason for the bluetooth was so it could sit in the cradle but if I can control/select the tunes on the remote for the unit, then that problem is null and void....

Although that is a pretty pricey unit, it is well nice.

So double-DINN is the key?

Thanks aghain Munky. Genuinely appreciate your advice.

I am thinking you may have to go with a Sate-Nav type set up to get it to blend in ??
A while ago Panasonic Did a Wood Grain type CD Player but I have not seen anything like it since
