BTW, I'm quite happy with how the stock ones perform. It's done 53k, fronts 80% worn, rear about 50%.

bendex ultimates is wat i use on the wagon and the vrx.. the other 2 have the bendex cts.. the cts r great but have a habit of fadein when hott.. depends on wat sorta drivin you do.. im a contract driver for the local pizza shop here so i do alot of start/stop so i have found the cts werent real great towards the end of the nite when they were hott..
i have seen on here a few people mention "green stuff pads" mite pay to have a search on them...

If you happy with the factory ones then Bendix General Ct's will do you, but if you want more bite/better pedal feel then go the Ultimates.
General ct's = good pad/rotor life.
Ultimates = short pad/rotor life.
You trade life for performance.
Saying that, you will get years out of a set of ultimates daily driving.

Lots of previous opinions on brakes in these forums. Ultimates sometime reported noisy and very dirty on wheels.
The "greens stuff" and "Red Stuff" I think are ECB products - that "might" be East Coast Brakes?
QFM is Queensland Friction Materials and their HPX pads gave me much better confidence in my brakes on TJ and KJ. QFM products can be got from "Brakes Plus" from what I read in here, I bought from a Bris company called GSL Rallysport who gave good advice and sent stuff promptly - I was very impressed by their business and how they dealt with me.

AFAIK they do not make ultimates anymore..
just GCT's & heavy duty (for things like towing/hilly stuff) so one would assume the heavy duty can deal with a bit more heat than the GCT's...
i have GCT's in mine and they are just a average entry level cheap brake pad in every single respect.. very very very low dusting which i think it good..

No ultimates?
Since when? Doesn't sound right.

We're 22 000 km into an around Australia trip towing a Jayco Eagle camper (about 1200 kg) and still have 6 mm of the Bendix Heavy Duty pads that I fitted just before we left home in April.
They work great when not towing, too.
They cost me about $80 front + $80 rear from Autobarn Belconnen.
PS to do all those kilometers we've driven from Canberra to: Melbourne - Portland - Robe - Adelaide - Port Lincoln - Kalgoorlie - Esperance - Albany - Bunbury - Perth - Northam - Cervantes - Denham - Exmouth - Broome - Darwin - Mt Isa - Karumba - Cooktown - Cairns - Bowen (where I am currenlty camped beside the beach :)

Camped beside the beach at Bowen - THOSE are definitely the best brakes in this thread - gets my vote (esp after work tonight). Wish I was there, or somewhere equally good!
