hey all, i've probably brought this up before.

anwyaz, just wodnering, with remove the tailights, do u just remove them three nuts/bolts behind the trim in the boot, the lightbulbs.....anything else? this gives me access to the assembly, and then i can just remove the plastic clear covers to spray with whatever i want..

mate 3 boltes and the wires and then you pop them off!!

stockings :D ...............well at least you can take them off if they don't look right.

P.S put the stockings over your rear lights while they are off and tape them up from the rear so that they smoothlly cover your lights, DON'T put them on your legs as this does nothing for the tint of your lights lol

hold on, wouldn't u see the damn tape? also, how hot would hte light bulbs get, eg when ur tailights are on. lastly, anybody used this spray stuff? how easily it come off?

What I ment was:

1. Remove lights from car body,
2. Wrap the stockings around the lights, the more layers the darker obviouslly,
3. tape/secure the stockings on the light assemblies tightlly from the back (where the wires are)
4. Re-mount the lights, so you should end up with the lights evenlly covered by the stockings, but do it tightlly so there are no creases or joins showing, looks ok.

Had a mate do it to his VS commodore, looks ok, he then used some white stockings (his car is white also) and it looked alright too, different, some might say ricey :)

yeah I laughed too when he told me :nuts: , but after seeing it, you can't really tell, looks like aftermarked light tinting material (not that it really exists) :thumbsup:

just wondering, how did u remove the plastic clear part from the back assembly area(where the lights are fixed onto). do u guys spray nite shades by spraying the outside of the plastic? stockings look strange :nuts:

Not sure I haven't removed my lights yet, will soon I have made a batch of tint hehe secret recepie :D , Relax on the stockings Idea lol

looks like my car....except i have the silver boot garnish painted black and i also have black plates.

hmm......number plate is very clear....hmm...anywayz, i waited 8 hrs in total for it to dry...uno, spray at 11pm...go to sleep, wake up this morning, spray, go study, spray, go study etc....put them back in this afternoon....uno, the light coming thru is still fine...i'll get defected anyways.....i wanna steal someone's boot garnish one day...go to a carpark etc... :badgrin: so, now if u find that u're garnish is missing it was me!! :badgrin: :badgrin:

If you yank on the boot hard enough from the outside it will come open :D

nah, i'm a good person, i won't do anything like that. anwyayz, yeh, i only sprayed the outside, coz i don't think u can rip it apart to spray the inside, coz its held in by silicone or glue or something (i think)

tinted lights i think are much more sexy than clear tail lights :rant:

it took like 10-30 mins to do my tail lights, coz someone (MethoD) couldnt get my indicators off....

you can tell how uneven its been done when you take pics, coz one of the reflective parts is more visible than the other.

Why not try get your hands on the material they use for sun shades for the rear windows on cars.
